Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX - Beginning: Project Exhibition at Anime Tokyo Station

As a hub for Japanese animation exhibitions, Anime Tokyo Station attracts numerous visitors from both Japan and abroad.

The exhibition center regularly hosts planning exhibitions of popular anime works, and this year, from May 24 to August 11, it will hold a special planning exhibition for the animation movie “Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX -Beginning-.”

Highly Awaited Collaboration Between Nissin and KHARA

“Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX” is the latest work in the Gundam anime series. It is the first collaboration between the series’ production company Sunrise and the studio KHARA, known for “Neon Genesis Evangelion,” which has sparked widespread discussion beyond the anime fan community.

The pre-release movie version features some scenes re-edited and was shown in Japanese theaters on January 17 of this year. “Beginning” has achieved great success, with 2.02 million viewers by the end of March and box office revenue reaching 3.34 billion yen.

Its weekly broadcasts continue to generate online buzz and have become a recent trending and popular work.

This special exhibition showcases scenes from the series’ iconic moments. Fans will surely recognize the ticket gate shown above, which has been faithfully recreated in the exhibit!

In addition, visitors can see statues of the main character Amate Yuzuriha and other Gundam characters, photo spots recreating scenes from the series, and rare production materials such as scripts.

The venue also features AR photo zones where you can take pictures with themed backgrounds of the characters. It’s incredibly fun for a free exhibition!
